Caesar's mushroom

It belongs to the Amanitaceae family. The Serbian name is "jajčara" but it is also known as "blagva", "kneginja", "knez", "rudnjača" or "kajsijača". Young mushrooms are covered with a universal veil. When the mushroom expands, the universal veil is broken. The mushroom cap is radiant, tawny and egg-like, 6-12cm in diameter. There are no remnants of the veil along its edges The height of the mushroom is 5-14cm. The stem and the gills are yellow. Pleasant odor characterizes its pale reddish flesh. They can be found in summer and autumn. This kind of fungus favours warm habitats, especially lawns and forests.
